Itinerary
Day 1: Djibouti City Tour
• Crossing through the European Quarter, recognizable by its French colonial architecture and Moorish arcades.
• Visit to the African Quarter, animated by the Hamoudi Mosque, one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
• Discovery of the local markets, full of color and flavor.
• Depending on the day of arrival, a possible visit to the Djibouti National Archives or EEGA Place.
• Visit to the Port of Djibouti, a strategic point for maritime trade in the region, and the People's Palace, an important national monument.
Day 2: Djibouti City – Dimbiyo Canyon – Ghoubet – Lake Assal – Djibouti City
• Early start to make the most of the cooler morning hours.
• Crossing the Dimbiyo Canyon, nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of Djibouti," an impressive site where three tectonic plates meet.
• Arrival at Ghoubet al-Kharab, a privatized boat excursion to encounter the whale sharks that come here to feed between November and February.
• Journey toward Lake Assal, passing by natural hot springs.
• Arrival at Lake Assal, located 155 meters below sea level, the lowest point in Africa.
